Teachmint is an Indian education company based in Bengaluru. It sells a school management platform, a teacher app with live classes, and Teachmint X, a range of interactive flat panels for classrooms. The school platform covers the office work of an Indian private school, including admissions, fee collection, student records, exam planning and report cards. The classroom side covers live classes, attendance, assessments and updates for parents.

Who it’s for

Teachmint fits private K-12 schools in India that collect fees directly from parents and want admissions, fees and report cards in one system that staff and parents can use on a phone. Schools that are also buying interactive panels can get the software and the hardware from one company. Teachmint also markets its classroom products to coaching institutes and colleges.

What it does well

The school platform handles the admin work that fills an Indian school office’s day. Teachmint lists fee management, admission management with lead tracking for enquiries, a student information system, an exam planner for sharing exam schedules with students and teachers, and a report card builder that lets a school design, download and print its own report cards. Its student tracking tools cover attendance and performance, and also bus location, which matters to parents whose children travel on school transport.

For teachers, the app is free to download and covers live classes, class scheduling, attendance and notifications to parents. Teachmint’s EduAI tools generate lesson plans, presentations, quizzes and homework, and the company offers free web tools such as a timetable maker, a worksheet maker and a lesson planner.

The Teachmint X panels run the same classroom software, and Teachmint says the whiteboard software supports more than 90 languages, including Hindi. A school buying panels for its classrooms can manage the devices from Vision X, Teachmint’s admin dashboard for panels.

Where it falls short

Teachmint’s homepage now leads with Teachmint X hardware and AI classroom tools, and the school management modules appear on a secondary page. That doesn’t mean the ERP is going away, but it does mean you should ask the sales team about the roadmap for the fee, admission and report card modules, and how long they commit to supporting them, before you sign a multi-year contract.

The product is designed around Indian private schools, from fee structures to admissions workflows. Schools outside India, or schools that need their SIS to produce detailed transcripts for overseas university applications, should check those workflows in a demo before buying.

Many user reviews on software review sites date from 2021 to 2023, before the hardware push. Treat them as background and judge the current product from a live demo and from schools of a similar size that use it today.

Pricing

The Teachmint teacher app is free to download. Teachmint does not publish prices for its school platform or for Teachmint X panels, and its website asks schools to book a demo. Get the price for each module in writing, ask about payment gateway charges on online fee collection, and ask whether panel prices include installation and the three-year on-site warranty Teachmint advertises. Our guide to running an edtech pilot explains how to test a system with a few classes before you roll it out to the whole school.

Privacy and data

Teachmint’s website lists ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification. Its privacy policy, last updated in August 2026, says Teachmint reviewed it against ISO 27701, and that Teachmint may store and process data on systems in India and may transfer it to other countries. The policy also says Teachmint may use user information to maintain and improve its services “including advertising”, and its cookie section describes advertising cookies. It cites the Information Technology Act 2000 but does not mention the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. After a contract ends, the policy says Teachmint deletes the school’s data from the platform within six months.

Ask Teachmint to confirm in your contract that it will not use student or parent data for advertising, and ask how it handles parental consent for children’s data. Our student data privacy checklist covers the rest of the questions.

Verdict

Teachmint is a practical option for Indian private schools that want fees, admissions, report cards and a teacher app from one company, especially if they are also buying classroom panels. Ask hard questions about the ERP roadmap and the advertising language in the privacy policy before you commit. Schools that only need a classroom app may be better served by Google Classroom.
