Educamos is a school management and communication platform for schools in Spain, with versions for several Latin American countries. Spanish publisher SM built it and sold it for years as EDUCAMOS by SM. In September 2025 SM sold the business to Sdui Group, a German company that now trades as Seven Education and also owns Additio. The product kept the Educamos name. It covers the school office (enrolment, records, timetables, report cards and fees), a family app, a teacher app and a virtual learning environment.

Who it’s for

Educamos fits Spanish schools that want the secretaría, the finance office, teachers and families on one platform. A concertado school that charges for comedor and activities, needs LOMLOE-style competency reports and wants families to sign excursion forms and pay from their phones will find all of it here. Educamos also sells a setup for networks that run several schools.

When SM sold the business, Additio said Educamos had more than 1,500 schools and over three million users. The Educamos site now says more than 1,600 schools.

Schools that only need a teacher gradebook or a messaging app should look elsewhere. Educamos is a whole-school system and is priced and configured as one.

What it does well

The family side is detailed. Through Educamos Familias, which is on the App Store and Google Play, parents get notices of absences and behaviour incidents with a daily summary, approve excursions, accept meeting invitations, download circulars and report cards as PDFs, check grades in the teacher’s gradebook, see the weekly timetable with homework and exams, and message the school. They can also see which receipts are paid or pending, sign up for activities and pay online. Payments go through Kineox, a Spanish payment provider. For a school office that still chases paper authorisation slips the day before a trip, this removes a lot of work.

The office tools match what a Spanish school does. Educamos lists online enrolment, a Secretaría Virtual where families submit documents and follow requests without coming into school, a timetable generator, official document templates and FP cycle setup. The finance module handles receipts, grants and discounts, several payers per student, partial billing, tax forms 182 and 233, and exports to accounting software.

Assessment is built for LOMLOE. Schools can configure curricula, evaluation criteria and key competencies, and teachers record grades and competency progress in Educamos Escuela, the teacher app, which also handles attendance and parent interviews. A separate Educamos Comedor tool tracks who eats in the canteen.

In September 2026 Seven Education announced AI features for Educamos under the Seven AI name. These generate lessons, quizzes, images and student feedback, adapt materials for different levels, and include an assistant that answers questions about the school’s own data.

Where it falls short

The ownership change is the main risk. Seven Education is merging several products, and Educamos now sits beside Additio in Spain. SM said the sale guarantees continuity, but schools on a multi-year contract should ask what the product plan looks like for 2027 and beyond, and whether anything will move to a different app or login.

Educamos needs setup time. An administrator has to configure courses, evaluation criteria, fee structures and permissions. Educamos assigns specialist advisors to help with implementation, and our student information system guide lists what to check in a demo.

Pricing

Educamos does not publish prices. Pricing is quoted per school, and the site asks schools to request a demo. Its site also says eligible schools may put up to 6,000 euros from Spain’s Kit Digital programme towards the cost, so check whether your school qualifies. Ask for the price of each module, including finance and AI, and for Kineox’s fees on family payments.

Privacy and data

Educamos’s data processing page says it acts only as a processor (encargado del tratamiento) for the schools, which own the data. It says Microsoft hosts data for Spanish schools in Ireland and data for Latin American schools in the United States. It lists its subprocessors: Microsoft for hosting and Office 365, MSpubli for SMS, Mailjet for email, IQ Target Business for electronic invoicing in Mexico and Kineox for payments. Few school platforms in Spain publish a list this specific.

The privacy policy names the company as Tecnología y Gestión Educativa, S.L.U., based in Las Rozas de Madrid. The site does not list ENS or ISO 27001 certification, and it does not say how long data is kept after a contract ends. Seven Education says its AI tools comply with GDPR but has not published details on how school data is used with them. Ask for the processing contract and retention terms, and work through our student data privacy checklist.

Verdict

Educamos is a capable whole-school platform for Spanish schools, with a strong family app and finance tools built around Spanish tax and fee rules. Its published hosting and subprocessor details are better than most. The 2025 sale means you should get the roadmap in writing before a long contract. Schools that want a lighter messaging app or a teacher-only gradebook should compare options in our parent communication rankings.
